Blue drops at the centre part. The decision is deliberate. Blue teardrop stones set in kundan-bordered gold mounts drop in a small cascade from the maang chain — pearl drops below, a pearl chain above that holds the whole composition together. The blue is saturated and deep. The pendant is compact but has presence. Sabz — Persian for colour carried into Urdu and into Jaipur's jewellery vocabulary across centuries. A tikka that speaks the language of this city's craft: stone, gold, pearl, in combination that has been right for a very long time.
